Australian Pinnacle Tours · Perth CBD and Northbridge hotels
Australian Pinnacle Tours packs four days out into one: a wildlife park with koalas, fish and chips in Cervantes, a walk among the pinnacles and a 4WD truck over the Lancelin sand dunes. Pick it if you want the most variety for one long day and you don't mind seeing the pillars in early afternoon light.

This is the busiest day on the list, and the longest at 11.5 hours. You start at Caversham Wildlife Park in Whiteman, on the edge of the Swan Valley, where you meet koalas and wombats and hand-feed kangaroos in the walk-through. Then the coach takes the back roads north to Cervantes for a fish and chips lunch, and the group walks the Pinnacles in the early afternoon.
The last stop is what sells it. At Lancelin you swap into a custom-built 4WD truck for about 45 minutes on the white dunes, with stops to throw yourself down a slope on a sandboard. The operator calls them the largest dunes in Western Australia; the local shire describes a system about 2 km long, shared by off-road vehicles and boarders, with a separate sandboarding area. Then it is the drive home.
The trade-off is time and light. Caversham opens at 9am, so the pillars come after lunch, in the hard light of the early afternoon, with roughly an hour among them and no sunset. The listing says the 4WD part is not suitable for pregnant women, people with back problems or infants, and on quiet days the road sections may run in a coach rather than a 4WD. Soft sand can cause delays, and holding a koala at Caversham is an extra the park charges for.
